"Simply put I was skeptic. Here's my Chiropractic story..."

After years of playing football in high school and college, my back was killing me. After nearly a year of physical therapy, neurologists, orthopedists, massage therapists, and a neurophysiotherapist I was no better, and getting worse. I was 24 years old and couldn't put on my own pants because of the extreme pain. I was popping pain medication like they were candy. I was desperate to find relief. At 25, it looked like a risky spinal fusion surgery was in my future. I was desperate.

A colleague of mine at Ortho Mcneill Pharmaceutical, suggested going to their chiropractor. As a scientist I was a bit leery of chiropractic. I thought to myself, I’ve got nothing to lose. I was literally dragged to the office. To my surprise, Dr. J was the first doctor to scientifically explain why my problem happened and how to correct it. After six weeks of treatment I was nearly 100% better. I was impressed so much that I left my research scientist position at Ortho Mcneil to pursue my Doctor of Chiropractic.

Chiropractic Education

I attended the "Harvard" of Chiropractic Colleges, Palmer College Of Chiropractic, Davenport, Iowa. Palmer is where chiropractic was founded in 1895. Before graduating I was a member of the Palmer Clinic Abroad Program and traveled to Vietnam to provide Humanitarian Chiropractic Care and Service to the people of Vietnam. Today, I'm excited everyday to help people here at our Roxbury chiropractic office. I especially love to help patients who lost hope, like I did.

On a personal note...

My wife and I met at Palmer College Chiropractic. Dr. Nancy Gallagher runs our Allentown Office. Nancy and I have three great kids. Liam is seven and loves animals. When he grows up he wants to be a chiropractor. Our identical twin daughters, Ashley and Molly, are 18 months. They love to play with our dogs, Taz and Rex. As a family we love Walt Disney World and look forward to our annual trip every year.
